As you might know, Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel were together for a long time, but now have gone separate ways, until they reunited for one night only on the Jimmy Kimmel Show.

E! News reports on the former comedy couple’s reunion that harbored a little awkwardness throughout, but it turned into a pretty funny interview. I don’t really find Jimmy’s sense of humor that funny, but the two of them together made for a great time.

And Sarah Silverman singing was hilarious, especially when cutting back to it on the awkward question and answer.

Barack Obama is on FIRE! His 30-minute infomercial was a huge success, both for him and the networks, but Obama also gave Comedy Central’s Daily Show its largest audience to date.

Wednesday, Oct. 29th, Sen. Obama had a busy evening airing his infomercial and appearing on the Daily Show, which gave the 12-year-old farse-newscast 3.6 million viewers. The record viewers before that was set only 3 weeks prior when Michelle Obama spoke on the show.

John McCain doesn’t have the appeal that Obama generates, having only brought in 2.3 million viewers to Larry King Live on Wednesday night. Let’s face it, no one wants to watch an old, angry man rant about why he should run the country to Larry King. It’s like you’re waiting to see who keels over first.

On this, the day of Halloween, Kevin Smith’s new movie, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, is being released nation-wide and you now have the chance to see a gay Superman.

Brandon Routh, star of 2006’s Superman Returns, portrays a closeted gay man who is lovers with Justin Long’s flamboyant gay porn star. It is a way for Routh to poke fun at the rumors that spread because of working with openly gay director Bryan Singer on Superman. Brandon is most definitely straight, having married his longtime girlfriend, Courtney Ford, in 2007, but that doesn’t mean he can’t play gay!

He’s a straight man playing a gay guy who’s pretending to be a straight guy in that weird ‘Victor Victoria’ way. But Brandon found a way to play him like a hen-pecked husband in a gay marriage who’s still not quite living out loud. He found a way to make it more comedic than it was on the page without changing a word.” - Los Angeles Times

It’s actually really random how Brandon stepped into the role. Kevin Smith and leading man Seth Rogen were trying to figure out who could play the small, but essential part, brainstorming on what kind of real, middle American guy, somewhat like Superman, could fit the mold. Elizabeth Banks, who plays Miri in the film, overheard them talking and told them her agent was Superman’s agent.

Next thing you know, the script was in Routh’s hand and he was actually up for doing the part. Smith went on to say,

I think he saw this as the chance to make fun of the fact that people assume he must be gay because he worked with Bryan Singer or something like that. He embraced it. He ran with it.”

Britney Spears is on fire, she really is. Her comeback could not have come at a better time as her single is riding the top of the airwaves and her album “Circus” is set to debut on December 2nd, which is also her 27th birthday. As a matter of fact, her original hit single Baby One More Time is about to celebrate it’s 10th anniversary this December as well.

A brand new strategy being developed for Britney this time around is the connection with her fans, something she severely lacked last time around. Therefore, she is now taking the matter into her own hands, staying in touch with her fans through her new super site BritneySpears.com, where finally, any news (although controlled and filtered) gets out to the fans before the paparazzi even get to say snap.

To her and her team’s (Larry Rudolph and Adam Leber) credit, the site looks amazing, it’s interactive, it’s informative, and it’s unique, full of information. You could call it, a fan’s wet dream, and especially for those that are logging in from overseas, that don’t get the oversaturation of tabloid gossip as we do here in the US.

Nevertheless, we still have to wonder, is Britney truly trying to reach out to her fans? Her personal video messages are being read from a cue card and her B-line vmail is read verbatim from a script. I think what her fans really need from Britney right now is her genuine appeal. Not a rehearsed line or two. We would love the real and spontaneous Britney to rise up and show her true colors. Just like what she says in her new hit single Womanizer “You got me going, your oh so charming but I can do it”. Britney, let’s see YOU do it.

Fifteen year old Selena Gomez is showing no signs of slowing down now that her career has blossomed. In addition to getting the Disney show that made her famous, Wizards of Waverly Place, adapted into a feature, the tiny brunette has also formed July Moon Productions.

She has also partnered with XYZ Films to finance the development of two films for her to produce, reports Variety.

In other words, Gomez will be able to option articles, hire screenwriters and choose additional talent to packages that can then be shopped to studios.

As part of the July Moon-XYZ deal, she’ll also be able to select projects she wants to work on from the vast Time Inc. library, which includes Time, Sports Illustrated, Fortune and Life.

30 Rock will be premiering its third season on NBC tonight, Oct. 30th, and Tracy Morgan has Alec Baldwin to thank for keeping sane during his darkest times in life.

After being separated from his wife of 20 years and being arrested twice for DUI charges, not to mention his accusation of groping a lady D.J. in Miami and wanting to impregnate her, Morgan says Alec was the one who came to his rescue.

In the most recent issue of New York Magazine, Tracy explains,

When I got my second DUI, Alec was the main one counseling me. He’s a passionate dude. I don’t give a f*** what nobody say about him, dude been there. ‘You got an opportunity on 30 Rock,’ he told me. I felt the love when he do that.”

The shame of his outbursts and DUI’s led to a period of time where he was left feeling embarrassed for his three kids and disassociated from the rest of his friends. I would be embarrassed too if I went around telling women I wanted to impregnate them, but maybe not so much if I asked them to do it up the poop-shoot.

“30 Rock” star Alec Baldwin stopped by David Letterman to promote the premiere of season 3 of the Emmy-award winning show on NBC tonight. While there, he naturally gave a hilarious interview and also spoke about guesting on “Saturday Night Live” alongside Sarah Palin.

“She was lovely” and “very nice” he told Letterman. He also said he didn’t want her hand on the nuclear button.

Then, imitating her voice, Baldwin said of Palin,

She said to me, ‘I’ve been talking to your brother Stephen and we’ve been chatting, trying to figure out how to knock some sense into you.’

She’s a beautiful, beautiful woman.

He then proceeded to refer to her as a ‘Bible Spice’.
