Larry, Curly and Moe are three names that will likely never be forgotten, but the newest generations, though they recognize the names, have no idea what the Three Stooges were all about.

That’s where the Farrelly Brothers step in. Known best for 1998’s There’s Something About Mary, Bobby and Peter are determined to have a great comeback not only for the stooges, but for themselves as well.

The plot of the movie is centered around how the three meet, so it can be clear to the young audience how they came to be. It’s a tough project to take on, what with all the constant hitting and physical comedy, and still making it interesting for the audience. An hour and a half of steady slapstick can be very draining for people just sitting in seats.

The other problem that arises is who will they cast for the three legendary roles? Among the list of stars including George Clooney, Russell Crowe and Larry David only Jeff Daniels and Benicio Del Toro were interested. Well, casting is going to take longer than expected, but hopefully this film will meet its Nov. 20, 2009 release date.

You have to see this to believe it. Today, a historic moment happened in Television, when CNN wowed viewers by beaming reporter Jessica Yellin from Chicago into the New York Studio, standing right infront of Wolf Blitzer in a 3D holographic image that looks straight out of Star Wars.

Pretty incredible, it makes you understand the genius behind of George Lucas who predicted the technology of the future over 20 years ago with Star Wars.

The technology involves putting the reporter inside a tent which has 35 HD cameras shooting the subject from different angles while beams of light are shot through her body. These cameras which are moving then send the information to the studio in New York, allowing for an intimate conversation inside the studio with Wolf Blitzer. It’s like she’s Princess Leia. Remarkable setup. Yellin explained to Blitzer that it took CNN engineers 3 weeks to setup such tent.

It looks like all the hard work that goes into soap operas and daytime talk shows won’t be recognized nationally, because CBS has opted out of airing the 2009 Daytime Emmy Awards.

CBS and ABC rotate the award show every year, but now what will happen if neither of the networks want to air it? As of right now, the Daytime Emmy’s don’t have a home for the glorious event, and don’t count on NBC to step in, they stopped participating years ago.

You’d think that SOAPnet would at least want to broadcast it, but they have yet to make a decision. How will all the amazing talent of daytime television congratulate each other this year? Someone has to kiss their asses otherwise they might feel unwanted.

The search is still on to find a network that wants to air the award show. Hopefully this travesty will be concluded by the time December roles around, but until then, the Daytime Emmy’s have no home.

A controversial episode of Hannah Montana has been canceled after Disney bosses were flooded with complaints from concerned parents.

The episode, titled No Sugar, Sugar, sees Miley Cyrus‘ character Hannah dealing with her pal’s diagnosis with diabetes.

The episode was set to air in the U.S. on Sunday, November 9th, but was yanked after it was previewed by parents in an on-demand version.

A spokesperson for the show tells the New York Daily News,

During the scriptwriting stage of the Hannah Montana episode in question, the matter of depicting a character with diabetes was reviewed by our Standards and Practices executives who consulted with medical experts to inform the story and ensure that it was told responsibly.

Notwithstanding the measures we took, and based on the episode’s preview and early feedback from parents (who saw it on Subscription Video on Demand and/or mobile platforms), we removed the episode from Sunday’s schedule and are now reevaluating it.

It turns out that the two music icons get along famously, using their high profile names for charity and education. Midler and 50 have been working together to restore a garden in Jamaica Queens, where he was raised, to give the community a living classroom for children to learn how food grows.

This seems like the weirdest pairing celebs since Roseanne Barr and Tom Arnold were together, so how did this all come about? Midler was quoted saying,

I called and nagged him. His G-Unity Foundation gives a million dollars away every year in grants to non profits all over the city … They’re just brilliant.”

Bette has been working with the New York Restoration Project and took it into her own hands to get 50 Cent on board and here’s what he had to say,

When Bette calls you don’t say ‘no.’ Not if you want your reputation to stay the way it is. I wish I had this to come to when I was growing up around here. The opportunity to create this garden for the youth and the community is a great one.”

It’s such a random couple to see out and about in New York, but apparently they became good friends and wish to work together in the future. Maybe the next time they work together will be in the recording studio?
