Did you know that Jamie Lee Curtis was addicted to drugs? She finally broke her silence about her addiction to painkillers almost 10 years after she kicked the habit.

At 35 Jamie had cosmetic surgery on her eyes which sent her on a detour she never expected to be on. She became dependent on painkillers which even led her at one point to steal pills from her sister, who had broken her arm and was staying with the actress, according to the Daily News.

Loneliness and the feeling of getting high from the drugs kept her in a cycle of booze and painkillers for many years. She was a very stealthy druggie, though, not even her husband Christopher Guest knew of her addiction, but it was her daughter, Annie, that made her rethink her choices.

The cool part about her ending the dependency on painkillers was that she nixed hair-dye and high heels for her recovery, a commitment she is still practicing to this day. Now she is volunteering for anti-drug campaigns and living life sober and aware. Good for her!
