Has it really been a year since Britney Spears’ ridiculous lip-sync to Gimme More on the MTV Video Music Awards? It has indeed, and this time it’s being held in our home town of Los Angeles on September 7th!

Paramount Pictures will be hosting the award show in its 25th year of festivities on its lot in Hollywood. The last time L.A. hosted the event was in 1998, so it will be a hassle to get ready for the event, most likely. We are so thrilled to have all the traffic, road blocks, and early store closings!

The setting of the ceremony is said to be on the city streets, rooftops, and sound stages all over the Paramount lot, but that’s about all MTV has released at the moment. Everything else, including host, performers, presenters, and the nominees will be announced a little later on.

Hopefully L.A. will bring more luck to the award show than Las Vegas did. We’re not bashing Vegas, it did bring in 7.1 million viewers, but the record is set at 12 million back in 1999, so this better be one damn good show!
