The dancing duet have called it quits after a two year long relationship.

Karina Smirnoff and Mario Lopez met while partnered together on Dancing with the Stars. The pair came in second place during the third season.

Smirnoff’s rep told PEOPLE, “Karina has parted ways with Mario Lopez, the relationship wasn’t heading in the right direction.”

Lopez and Smirnoff originally were hush hush about their relationship until the were spotted in Mexico together after the competition ended. The couple moved in together later in May.

We would like to say we are sorry, but there are many singles out there who are a little thrilled at the news.
