18-year-old and reigning American Idol Jordan Sparks now knows the true meaning of dissappointment. The talented singer has been diagnosed with an acute vocal cord hemorrhage.
Wouldn’t that suck if you finally get your image hyped up and have all these concerts lined up and then having to cancel all of them because it might permanently damage your voice? Well that’s the reality for Jordan. She has already canceled her concert at Penn State on Sunday night, the Earth Day show in Washington, DC on the National Mall for Monday, and her biggest venue, her opening act for Saturday’s kick-off night of the Alicia Keys tour.
“Because of the risk of permanent vocal cord damage, Sparks has been ordered to strict vocal rest and will not be able to perform anywhere until her condition improves,” said a spokesman for the arena at Penn State to the New York Post
Even though I’m not a huge fan of her music style, I still enjoy the sound of her voice, so feel better soon!

I”m sorry this happened to her. I think they need to get a real professional voice coach, one that knows the workings of the throat, like Opera trainers, she may not have hemorrhaged her vocal chords then. When she starts singing again…..someday, she should start out with one of them before opening her mouth to let one sound out. They are using their vocal chords incorrectly-those who have this happen to them. I sure hope she gets better and gets some good REAL training first. I loved her singing myself, but I worry for those who have the big powerful voice and really put it out there.

I was an instant fan of this young lady after hearing her transform Shirly B.’s “I who have nothing” into a song that young, urban kids and older people, who may prefer a more classic style, could both enjoy. I am praying that she has a smooth and speedy recovery, and that she has a long, enjoyable career in music.

jordan i how you get this message, you really need to see a “homeapath nurse” (hope i spelled that right), i see one and it’s been a blessing so much. they get you on the right minerals and vitamins of any health concern you are dealing with. instead of medicines that have so much bad side effects, taking minerals and vitamins are so good for the body and it’s good to take even if you are not dealing with any health concerns.
