Not that this is a huge news break, but Brad Pitt made the entire Kodak Theatre in Hollywood go crazy.

Apparently once Pitt stepped out on stage for Sunday’s Taping of Idol Gives Back, everyone cheered, clapped, and screamed. I’m surprised he didn’t walk away with some panties in his face. There were some technical difficulties with his mic, also, so it just gave him more time to soak up the praise.

Pitt introduced a video of former contestant, Chris Daughtry’s band, but was laughing because of the mayhem he caused. Brad was hopefully recognized not only for his film career, but for his humanitarian work in New Orleans, since the whole point of Idol Gives Back is to help raise money for charities worldwide.

Last year the program received more than $75 million, but now they are going for an even stronger amount, $100 million. The show is set to air on Wednesday, April 9, so tune in to FOX and don’t be affraid to donate some moolah. Afterall it is for a good cause and it’s gonna make you feel better.

Also look for appearances by everyone’s favorite tart, Miley Cyrus, the bi-polar genius, Robin Williams, and sweet-faced singer Carrie Underwood.
