In the sudden shock of her husband, Jason’s, death, Corinne issued a public statement expressing her gratitude towards the support she’s been given.Jason Rae, 31, was the saxophonist for The Haggis Horns, a funk jazz band in England. He died March 22 on a suspected drug overdose. The inquery on his cause of death is still being persued.

The soul singer’s manager, Bob Miller, said that Bailey Rae was touched by the extent of condolences received over the past week.

“Corinne Bailey Rae and her family have been touched by the huge amount of love and support that’s flooded in from all over the world, and that is really helping all of us cope at this terrible time,” Miller released today in a statement from Corinne.

He went on to say, “Corinne is also very grateful for the privacy she is being given and the respect that has been paid to herself and Jason.” You are very welcome for the privacy, take your time with healing and have a fun life!

I hope her next album is a huge success.
