Little did artist Vincent Fantauzzo know, that in a matter of months, his obsessive workmanship around a Heath Ledger painting was going to become immortalized. Fantauzzo sat with Ledger for an entire day last year, and depicts several different consciences in the painting.

The piece has been submitted to the Archibald prize, which will be chosen first week of March.
